My MAC Lipsticks

My MAC Lipsticks

Hey everyone,

I thought I would show you my MAC lipstick collection. Now compared to some girls out there, I have hardly any, but to me I have a nice amount but of course I can't wait to build upon my collection and treat myself to some nice new lipsticks (which girl wouldn't!) In total I have 9 MAC lipsticks, unfortuantely I have lost one so can only show 8. I would say most of them are of the same colour range so when I get round to buying some new ones I am going to go for some different colours.

From Left to Right: Spirit, Craving, Cremesheen Ravishing, Lovelorn, Dare You, Lady Bug, Viva Glam IV, Viva Glam III

What MAC Lipsticks do you own, which is your favourite?

My love for Yankee Candles

My love for Yankee Candles

Hey everyone,

So recently I visited the shops and thought I would treat myself to a large Yankee Candle. I have always wanted one but of course they are not cheap for a candle yet I have now been proven so very wrong. I walked into the shop to see an array of bold colours and a mixture of different fragrances were drawing my attention. I have never been someone to like really sickly smells such as 'Vanilla Cupcake', although I have always loved the name of that candle for me it is far too sickly. So I wanted something sweet yet refreshing and comforting. The 'Sweet Apple' candle then drew my attention. This is one of Yankee Candles newest creations... and I love it! The deep red colour is gorgeous and also reminds me of Christmas (my favourite time of year). It has such a beautiful scent and really does make the whole room smell gorgeous. Because of how lovely it smells I have probably lit it more than I should have in the period I have had it, yet there is still so much more to burn. It will last for a long time!

If like myself you love sweet and luxurious scents you really should try this one out! I can't wait to try some more of these. I personally think they are well worth the money.

Weird & Wonderful Festival Essentials

Weird & Wonderful Festival Essentials

Hey everyone,

So as I am sure you are all fully aware we are now in the middle of the festival season, yet still have a few more festivals to come! This year I am going to Lovebox, which if you don't know is a day festival and I will be spending the whole 4 days at Reading festival in August. I can't wait and I have always loved the whole "festival fashion". During the festival season a lot of shops, such as Urban Outfitters, sell really cool jokey things such as hip flasks and neon UV body paint so I think bits like that are perfect for festivals as well. Here I have gathered together a variety of different bits that I think are perfect things to wear or take to a festival!

1- Topshop KIGU parrot wellies in red, £40.00: I thought these wellies were adorable and make a change from the general plain coloured hunter welly. They are just a lot more individual and I love the bright multi-coloured feathers; would instantly snazz up a plain outfit.

2- H&M Airy Top, £7.99: I think this top is so reasonable considering how lovely it is. Cami style tops are extremely in at the moment and I love the monochrome pattern.

3- H&M Short Twill Shorts in Yellow, £7.99: As I have said before, I am LOVING yellow at the moment. Such an in colour and so summery. And for £7.99 you can't go wrong. They would look great with a white sheer cami.

4- Forever 21 Vintage-Inspired Ring Set, £5.00: I really do think these rings are gorgeous. The "stacked" ring look is really popular (especially midi rings) and I think these gold ones would be perfect.

5- Topshop Diamond Pattern Woven Fabric Choker Set, £8.50: Although I haven't been wearing chokers myself they are very trendy at the moment and a lot of people seem to be wearing them. I saw these and fell in love. The fabric and detailing is beautiful.

6- River Island Blue Fluro Tribal Print Racer Front Crop Top, £12.00: Love the design and colours on this crop top and the style of this looks lovely with shorts or a high wasted skirt.

7- River Island Coral Quilted Rucksack, £30.00: Oh my gosh isn't this just adorable! Rucksacks are essential for festivals to keep all your bits in, this rucksack is the perfect size for the day and the vibrant orange colour really would make an outfit pop.

8- Forever 21  Oversized Cat-Eye Sunglasses, £6.65: Oversized glasses are the hight of fashion at the moment and these ones are so gorgeous. Love the pinky/purple colour.

9- River Island Grey Feather Print Fringed Kimono, £40.00: I have always been a fan of the kimonos and this one is so nice. Really like the pattern and the black fringed affect.

10- Office- Converse- Ctas Multi Panel: £25.00 (in sale): Such a bargain for only £25.00 and the multi-coloured affect really gives these converse a unique twist. Very comfortable to wear as well which is essential for when jumping around & dancing.

11- Forever 21 Tribal Print Wire Headwrap, £2.50: When at a festival every girls hair is bound to look a bit scruffy and dirty so this headwrap would be perfect to hide away that hair and the interesting pattern will sure steal peoples attention.

12- Topshop Neon Pink Body Paint Tube, £4.50: Nothing would be more fun than all covering yourself in neon paint, it will be a laugh and also make you stand out from the crowd.

13- Topshop Nail Varnish in Bound, £6.00: The colour of this is beautiful and would look great on your nails for a Festival.

14- River Island Black Chunky High Leg Gladiator Sandals in Black, £40.00: Omg I love these babies so much! Gladiator are perfect especially if the weather is hot so they will keep you nice and cool when dancing. Also because they are black they will not look as dirty.

15- Urban Outfitters KIGU Frog Kigoule, £35.00: If the weather isn't so good during the festival then you can still look stylish in this super cute frog kigoule. I love it!

16- Topshop Crepe Fringe Shorts, £38.00: If like myself you are not as confident with your legs (thighs especially) these shorts would be perfect! The long fringe affect covers more thigh than any other shorts. And of course, black is flattering for everyone.

17- MAC Lipsticks in 'Happy Go Lucky' & 'Violetta', £15.00 each: I have always adored MAC lipsticks... these two colours are amazing for a festival. Bright, bold and eye catching.

If you would like me to do more posts on what I will be taking to reading festival and perhaps a look book type of post on what I will be wearing just leave me a comment down below!

Theatrical Makeup: Quick & Easy Zombie Look

Theatrical Makeup: Quick & Easy Zombie Look

Hey everyone,

Here is a very quick and easy zombie look for you all. Although I used a boy for this look would still look fine on girls. Great for halloween/fancy dress. If you are not too confident with makeup this look would be perfect to recreate as it is actually quite simple. Just involves a lot of blending (but it does use liquid latex). I hope you all like it!

Theatrical Makeup- Mystical, Woodland Fairy/Butterfly

Theatrical Makeup- Mystical, Woodland Fairy/Butterfly

Hey everyone,

Here is another theatrical makeup look for you all using a lot of colour. This time going for the  darker and cooler shades of blues & greens. This makeup look reminds me of some sort of mystical, woodland fairy or a tropical butterfly. If you was to wear this to a fancy dress/halloween party it would look great with curled hair and perhaps a garland of leaves added to the hair. Even the hair spray a green or blue colour would be good. I am really happy with how this look turned out.. I hope you all like it too!

Review: MAC 'Spirit' Lipstick

Review: MAC 'Spirit' Lipstick

Hey everyone,

I am a real sucker for MAC lipsticks. My most recent one is 'Spirit' which is one of their satin lipsticks. Not only does this lipstick glide onto your lips like heaven and stay put to last you the whole day/night, the colour is beautiful. This lip colour is a neutral pinky, brown.. perfect for both day and night occasions. For me, I think it really suits my skin tone (I'm naturally blonde so fair) and makes my lips look fuller. If you are not very daring when it comes to lip colours and you want to play it safe but still want to wear something gorgeous and trendy then this is perfect. Suits both Summer and Winter. MAC lipsticks are only £15.00 so definitely worth spending money on this beauty.

Leave me a comment and let me know what your favourite MAC lipstick is!

Summer Bits I am Loving in Topshop

Summer Bits I am Loving in Topshop

Hey everyone,

So a bit of a different blog post for you all today! Here are 12 pieces I am loving in Topshop at the moment, all of which are very summery. I have always loved Topshop and always find really nice bits in their summer collection. What I like about Topshop is that they always keep their clothes fresh, young and up to date with the latest trends.

1- Peplum Cami in Orange- £10.00: What I love about this top is that the bright orange shade will compliment any (lets say less vibrant/plain piece) and really make any outfit a lot more interesting. The colour is so summery and the peplum style suits a lot of figures. I am an hourglass figure and I know peplum tops really enhance and suit my body shape.

2- Lace Pencil Skirt in White- £75.00: Now this definitely is not a cheap buy but it immediately caught my eye. I am loving anything white at the moment and this skirt is purely beautiful and elegant. The lace actually falls a lot lower than the under skirt so you get that lovely affect of having your legs showing underneath. White also compliments a tan in the summer (a girl couldn't ask for more!). I also think this skirt would go lovely with the Orange Peplum Cami above.

3- Round Sunflower Sunglasses- £20.00: These are just adorable!! Of course circle sunglasses are very popular at the moment and I think these are probably the cutest ones i have seen. Really love the gold detailing and I think they are the perfect size.

4- Limited Edition Multi-palm Jacquard Tee- £65.00: Again, this is not cheap but isn't it just gorgeous. The almost 'African beach' style colours really give a summer vibe and this can be dressed up with a long midi skirt or perhaps put with a pair of ripped jeans.

5- Blue Floral Longline Bikini- £34.00: I have never been a fan of wearing bikinis and if you are the same as me then I truly think this Longline bikini would be perfect for you. It does not show your whole belly (which I personally prefer) and stands out as it is unique and different. The blue, white and green go well together and who doesn't like floral print?

6- Big Felt Floppy Hat in Mink- £28.00: I actually own this hat in the black but I came across the Mink one and fell in love with it as well. This colour would go with basically everything and I'm really loving these big oversized hats at the moment. I would say from watching a lot of Made In Chelsea I have definitely been drawn to these haha!

7- Clean Zip Top Clutch in Yellow- £25.00: Without a doubt I love the colour yellow at the moment, I mean what colour screams summer more than yellow! This clutch is so eye catching it would go lovely with a white maxi dress.

8- Lace Applique A-line Dress in Nude- £40.00: Summer is not just about bright, neon colours. This nude dress would be great for an evening meal or BBQ, definitely suited to more of a formal occasion. This dress could be paired with a pair of gladiators and gold jewellery to go for that "greek goddess" inspired look .

9- Paisley Print Longline Kimono- £48.00: Kimono's are great for summer. They will keep you cool and they are just nice for a change instead of throwing on a jacket. I love the paisley print of this one and the pastel colours with the dark navy is beautiful.

10- Pastel Stone Flower Necklace- £20.00: In my eyes £20.00 for a necklace is on the pricey side but I saw this necklace and could not keep my eyes off it! These big statement necklaces are the hight of the trends at the moment. This one from Topshop would look great with a loose black sheer cami top.

11- Moto Margarita Joni Jeans in Blue- £25.00 (in sale): Instead of just going for a general pair of denim blue jeans these would add a lot more colour to an outfit. I really like the design and I think these would go lovely with a white blazer and a pair of tanned loafers.

12- Lana Platform Sandals in Monochrome- £55.00: And finally... A beautiful pair of heeled sandals! My guilty pleasure is definitely shoes by far. I am an absolute sucker for shoes. I saw this and lets just say they are now at the top of my wish list. Monochrome is very in at the moment so these would be perfect for this summer. They would look nice with a long midi skirt or even some patterned trousers. LOVE these.

So that is everything that I am loving in Topshop at the moment. If you liked this post and would like me to do more of these or have any questions please leave me a comment down below!

Editorial Makeup Look- Using Pinks & Purples

Editorial Makeup Look- Using Pinks & Purples

Hey everyone,

Here is a Editorial makeup look for you all. This is a look which uses a lot of colour... and a lot of blending is needed! I used a variety of pinks, from dark to light and dark purples. My favourite aspect of this look is the MAC pigment colour powder I used in 'Rose'. The sparkle in the middle corner of the eye really makes the eyes pop. I also think the lashes I used went really well with this look, from the Superdrug 'LASH' range, "Intense Volume, edition 30". This look would also be lovely for a fancy dress party, in my eyes it's almost quite 'alien/galaxy' inspired. Hope you all like it!
