Week 1: Products I am loving this Autumn- Skin Products

Skin Products- Moisturiser, Foundation and Concealer

I put my hands up and admit that I never used to use a moisturiser and I never had much of a skin routine, which is one of the main reasons why I have gone through stages of very bad skin. I have been to the doctors twice now. The first time they gave me tablets which I found did not help my skin, and they also gave me a liquid to put over my skin which is supposed to dry out the spots. Luckily, I found that this didn't dry out my skin but using a moisturiser seriously helps. I am now on new medication, still using the liquid but different tablets. I am nearly at the two month stage period now and the tablets should start to make a noticeable difference to my skin. When due on my period, my skin tends to flare up. Not that this is very pretty to look at, but here is my skin when due on my period, face free of makeup obviously:
I get most of my spots on my cheeks and chin

I definitely feel after nearly two months of taking the skin tablets and using the liquid my skin has improved drastically considering before going to the doctors I had acne. I am still not totally confident with my skin and get quite insecure about it from time to time, but not everyone can have flawless spot free skin. Luckily I have found a foundation and concealer that covers my spots perfectly so when I am going out I can easily cover my blemishes and spots. I used to use MAC Studio Fix Fluid which I loved and it had a very full coverage. But since I have stopped using it and stopped putting foundation on every day (I used to wear foundation to school) my skin has cleared up a lot so I feel that maybe the MAC foundation was one factor that was causing my skin to have acne and break out a lot.

I now only wear makeup at the weekend, if I am going out. The foundation I use at the moment is 'Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation' which has an SPF of 20. Under the foundation I put on 'Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer' which in my opinion is excellent for a drug store product. It has a great coverage and if you just have a few small blemishes it will easily cover them without having to put on foundation as well. Love it!

Before applying my makeup I have to use the liquid that got given to me from the doctor and I occasionally dab on a bit of Sudocrem as I find it takes away any redness. I then put on my moisturiser. I don't do all the cleanse and toning routine because to be quite frank I can't be bothered! The Moisturiser I have been using is called 'Neal's Yard Remedies Power Berry Daily Moisture'. As soon as I apply it onto my skin it absorbs straight away and instantly makes my skin look brighter and more dewy. I just love how it gives my skin a radiant glow, also my concealer and foundation sits perfectly on top of it and lasts a lot longer when I use the moisturiser. It is also says on the bottle that it protects youthful skin. The best thing about this moisturiser is that it is made from fairtrade organic ingredients. My weekend products. If going out for a special occasion I would use powder, bronzer, highlight, blush etc.

So those are the three products I have been loving at the moment as they work great on my skin. I love autumn/winter it is my favourite time of the year.I just love the makeup and fashion in autumn and winter. I can't wait to buy some new products and test them out! If anyone has some good product suggestions please leave a comment if you would like.
