Autumn/Winter Makeup Looks

My Autumn/Winter Makeup Looks

Hey Everyone!

I have been loving so many products this season and I have noticed that I have seemed to have  gathered together a collection of products that are perfect for autumnal and winter/christmas looks. For me personally I have always preferred the colours that are in during these seasons either being makeup or fashion around autumn/winter time. I just find them a lot darker, warm and give more enhancement to my skin tone. I absolutely love all the burgundies, dark reds and cranberry shades where as in spring/summer it's based around the pastels which I have never been a fan of. I tend to get quite dry skin this time of year so I have found myself having to moisturise a lot more and use more of a fluid foundation. Although I still love a good foundation I am actually a big fan of tinted moisturisers at the moment as I find they still give the perfect coverage (when my skin is good) and do not clog up my pores. The 'No makeup' look is achieved well with tinted moisturisers as most foundations have medium to full coverage.

During Christmas time makeup evolves around sparkle and glitter, every girls dream I would say! My MAC mineralize skinfinish in shade 'Gold Deposit' is one of my god sends. It doesn't give too much sparkle to the face, you don't want to be looking like a walking disco ball, but it just gives a nice glowy sheen which I think every girl needs during autumn/winter time. A lot of people like the 'pale' look during this season but I feel a lot more confident when I have a bit of colour to my face and body. Without a doubt it is all about the dark lip. I literally can't walk out the house now without a bit of dark lippy on. For my every day autumn/winter makeup I just put on a bit of tinted moisturiser, fill in the brows, few coats of mascara, a bit of bronzer and the beloved lipstick. I have created two makeup looks based around what is trending this season, one for everyday and one for night. All the products will be listed below.

Christmas Homeware- What's In

Christmas Homeware Has Hit The Shops

Hey Everyone!

Today me, my mum and sister visited John Lewis home and Next home. I have always absolutely loved Christmas and find that I am particularly happy pretty much throughout the whole of December; lets just say I am constantly in the Christmas spirit. Everything about Christmas I just love.. the decorations, lights, family outings, parties, food and of course the presents.  Not to mention the cheesy christmas music, I create a Christmas playlist that pretty much gets put on repeat from December the 1st to January. So today, when I walked into John Lewis and Next it was rather hard to hold in my happiness when I saw all the Christmas homeware. It literally gets me so excited as I know the official 25 day countdown to Christmas isn't long away.

Both John Lewis and Next had some beautiful decorations, lights, tree's and gifts; for a girl it was very hard not coming out of them two shops with bags full of stuff. Usually the family Christmas tree in my living room has aqua, light blue and silver themed decorations but this year we thought we would have a change and go for more traditional colours. So we bought tree decorations in the colours of burgundy, dark red, gold and bronze tones. This is what seems to be in this year, and I love it! The colours are so warm and cosy. In Next there was quite a lot of dark purple and gold, which was also nice. But generally, it's all about the reds, browns and golds this year. I know it is only the 2nd of November and we haven't even had Fireworks yet.. so you are probably all reading this thinking I'm one crazy girl, but it is only 53 sleeps till Christmas, and well know that will fly by.

                                                        Happy Christmas Shopping!

The National Wedding Show- London

The National Wedding Show at Earls Court

Hey Everyone!

Back in September me, my mum, my sister and my sister's friend Amy went to Earls Court for the National Wedding Show. It was a really nice girly day out and I would recommend the day to anyone who is thinking of going in the future. Personally I think the tickets were really reasonable price (around £15) considering you get to watch a 35 minute fashion show which I loved. There was a variety of different wedding stalls showing off their products and there is so many fresh ideas and inspiration you get from the day. Some products and companies you would be familiar with but others were really unique and to me they were the ones that stood out. I think it is a great day for brides wanting to get ideas and every stall offers great deals and packages.

The fashion show was really great to watch, not only was there classical wedding dresses but there were a range of unusual and diverse pieces. The fashion show suits everyones individual personality's as the dresses were all very different. The only thing I found was that the food and drinks were very expensive, I'm talking £5.50 for a sandwich in a packet! So perhaps bring a few of your own snacks. The afternoon cream tea was enjoyable yet the service was extremely slow and it took a good while to even get a table. But the food was nice and it was a cute little touch to the day.

As you can all tell I got very excited by all the gorgeous cakes!

Makeup Look- Skull

MAC Rick Baker- Sugar Skull

Hey Everyone!

I was really inspired by this photo that MAC cosmetics put up of an extract of Rick Baker's work. I absolutely loved this 'sugar/mexican skull' look he created and I think the contrast of colours are really diverse. Halloween makeup isn't all about gory, dark colours... you can still experiment with  bright, pretty shades. I had a go at recreating Rick Baker's sugar skull and had a lot of fun doing it.

I hope you all like this Skull look!
